La Petite Maison
Along the northern coast of California, hours beyond Napa and Sonoma, through the Mendocino forest, and beyond the giant Redwoods in a little Victorian village called Ferndale, lives a group of people who have chosen to turn off their clocks and simply work to the rhythm of the day.
At sun up, in an 1800s farm house, once pulled and rescued from a slip into Francis Creek and still adorning Main Street, this dedicated clan of artisans begin measuring out flour, whipping egg whites, squeezing oranges, and zesting lemons.
Intent to impart art and beauty into the world through hand crafted artisan breads, luscious tarts, fluffy meringues, and flourless cakes, a trio of bakers pray to their respective deities and then dedicate the day to making the creations from the talents with which they were blessed. Each creation is spun up from scratch with ingredients harvested delicately from the earth. Each carefully and meticulously put together as an expression of beauty, nourishment, and culinary indulgence.
Welcome to La Petite Maison.
